Millie Menage
Chief client partner
Digitas
Australia
From launching one of the UK’s first social media consultancies at 19 to leading transformative initiatives at top agencies like Razorfish, R/GA, and Digitas, Millie Menage has consistently demonstrated a passion for understanding people and storytelling. Her journey began on stage at drama school, and transitioned into her next act in advertising, shaping campaigns for global brands such as Microsoft, Google, McDonald’s and also for Unilever where she played a pivotal role in developing ‘All Things Hair’, a multiple-award winning vlogger-led platform.
Now at Digitas Australia, she is redefining client service as a strategic engine, driving growth and fostering strong client partnerships. She has introduced new client service principles to embed strategic partnership into the agency’s DNA, resulting in a notable increase in client NPS.
Menage’s empathetic leadership style, characterised by radical candour and a belief in the power of people, has fostered a high-performance culture at Digitas. Under her leadership, the client service team has achieved strong year-on-year growth and expanded headcount by 22%, with a strong emphasis on diversity.
Menage’s commitment to diversity and inclusion extends to her advocacy through its ‘Carers Collective’ for caregiver flexibility at Publicis Groupe and her efforts to create a more inclusive industry through initiatives like the Advertising Council’s DE&I Census.
Even prior to joining Digitas, one of Menage’s most notable achievements at her previous agency was founding R/GA iD, a grassroots initiative focused on mental health, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and indigenous education, which significantly improved employee engagement scores.
Menage’s influence is also seen in her creative campaigns for good, such as the ‘Use It Up’ campaign for OzHarvest, which significantly reduced food waste. Her dedication to coaching emerging talent and shaping industry policy underscores her commitment to leaving the industry better than she found it.
