Socially-led creative shop We Are Social has promoted Nai Yen Wang to managing director, Southeast Asia. The appointment comes on the back of Kelson Ong's elevation to the role of general manager, Singapore last year. In her new role, Wang will oversee We Are Social’s presence across Southeast Asia, drive growth opportunities, and enhance capabilities to support the agency’s growing roster of regional clients. She joined the agency in 2022 as head of account management, quickly rising to managing director of the Singapore office. Before We Are Social, she served as regional business director, APAC, at DDB. 

Nunn Media, an Australian independent media agency, has announced appointments to add to its strategy and planning capabilities in Sydney:

  • Michelle Miroforidis will join as head of strategy. Miroforidis’ career includes stints at Australia’s leading strategic agencies, including Naked, UM, Diageo Connect by Publicis, as well as in-house brand and creative agency roles.
  • Elise Dearden hired as planning director. Dearden brings years of experience across both London and Sydney at OMD, Spark Foundry, and Initiative, leading planning efforts for some of the country’s most recognisable brands, including McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and HCF. 

Dentsu India has strengthened its customer experience (CXM) practice with the appointment of Devang Shah as chief business officer for consumer, industrials & commerce, and Hemant Kshirsagar as chief business officer for financial services and fintech. With over 18 years of experience in digital marketing and commerce, he has led growth strategies for brands such as Gabriel & Co, Titan, Nokia, EY, and KPMG. Meanwhile, Kshirsagar brings 17 years of expertise in fintech and digital strategy, having held key positions at Bain, EY, and PwC.

Orange Line, an independent digital marketing consultancy, has announced a series of promotions and hires to its teams across data and analytics, paid media, communications and operations.

  • Aishling Farrell has been promoted to executive general manager, recognising more than seven years with the agency.
  • Gavin Chew takes on the newly created role of general manager, operations. Previously head of media, Chew has been with Orange Line for seven years.
  • Alberto Sanchez steps into the role of head of media, who was previously paid media senior director.
  • Brian Collins joins as head of growth, bringing a wealth of experience in digital strategy, business development and performance marketing. He was head of digital at True Sydney before joining Orange Line. 

Emily Searle has been appointed as planning director at independent digital marketing agency Sparro by Brainlabs. She joins Sparro with nearly 25 years of experience in media and publishing. She was most recently Apparent’s trading and planning director. Searle will work closely with media & growth lead Gino Hadiutomo and managing partner Sarah Davidson to lead the direction of media planning in the business.
