Roger Kan

VP of strategic partnerships
Cosmose
Hong Kong

Roger Kan has spent more than 14 years moving between two worlds: the fast-evolving landscape of digital marketing and the equally dynamic sphere of professional education. As VP of global strategic partnerships at Cosmose, he oversees mobile content and monetisation across 40 markets in 15 languages, through partnerships with major smartphone OEMs like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Transsion.

Rising from client strategy director to the ranks of vice president, he has spent the past 18 months expanding Cosmose’s mobile content ecosystem. He redesigned landing interfaces to lift engagement by over 50% and implemented a programmatic revenue strategy that delivered double-digit growth.

For Kan, education is never a sideline. Since 2020, he has designed and taught seven programmes at Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education that span digital marketing, e-commerce, data analytics, and AI marketing. He blends hands-on exercises, case studies, and industry insight in these courses to help students and mid-career professionals get up to speed with the digital landscape. At IAB Hong Kong, as education and career committee lead, Kan links universities with industry through AI video competitions, masterclasses, and mentorship initiatives, reaching hundreds of students and nurturing future-ready talent.

Kan’s leadership extends beyond corporate strategy and classrooms. At Cosmose, he manages cross-regional teams across APAC, EU and LATAM, coordinating content acquisition and programmatic operations to scale monetisation. He mentors students from underserved and diverse backgrounds and embeds DE&I principles into both curriculum design and practical experience.

Beyond his day-to-day roles, he carves out time for community impact. Through the Time Auction charity that promotes volunteerism and Generation Hong Kong that provides training to job seekers, he advises NGOs on digital strategy, runs career coaching sessions, and supports youth hackathons focused on innovation and ESG awareness. Michael Ip of Generation Hong Kong calls him “vital to shaping youth employability programmes,” while Alvina Chan of IAB Hong Kong describes his work as “a cornerstone of the bureau’s talent development mission.”

Kan’s many feathers in his cap make him a standout in the class of 2025 40 Under 40.
