Min Roldan
Creative director
DDB
Philippines
Min Roldan’s creative leadership has driven record-breaking campaigns for DDB’s key clients over the past year, achieving significant business growth and recognition in the past year.
Need proof, you say? Working with Mang Inasal, Roldan helped the Jollibee Group-owned barbecue chain become the strongest restaurant brand in the Philippines in 2024 and the strongest QSR brand in 2025, according to Brand Finance, earning multiple local award wins across creative, marketing, and business categories along the way, including awards for its viral campaign with NBA star Dwight Howard.
After leading DDB’s winning pitch for LG Electronics, her team smashed their video view target for 2025, earning 94% of the annual target in June alone. Proving she can market on a shoestring, she stretched a measly US$430 investment for Cignal TV’s Olympic campaign, into a staggering 37.3 million views, earning a return on media investment of 24,000%.
Resourceful and inventive, her creative chops extend beyond campaigns into new products too, having created a patent-pending idea for a new non-invasive diagnostic health care tool in the course of her work.
But we should hardly be surprised. With nearly 20 years of experience, Roldan began her career in a local shop and quickly transitioned to the digital space, producing outstanding work from the get go, for big content houses like Cartoon Network Southeast Asia. She has held significant roles at MullenLowe, J. Walter Thompson, and AKQA Shanghai, where she led campaigns for major brands like Nike, Jordan, and Apple.
Returning to the Philippines during the pandemic, Roldan brought a global perspective to local work, championing bold ideas and inclusive leadership, making her a respected figure in the creative industry, serving as a jury member for the Gerety Awards and AdForum PHNX, and speaking at Gerety Talks.
Beyond this, however, lay a deep commitment to improving the careers of those around her. She has mentored students and young professionals, creating pathways for emerging voices in the industry. Through programs like Teenternship and Poveda Work Immersion, she has provided hands-on experience and mentorship to the next generation of creatives. She founded Lawak Utak Lakad, a decade-strong movement connecting ad veterans with emerging creatives, and launched DDBook Club, which uses literature to nurture empathy and connection across teams.
