Carol Yeung
Managing director
Golin
Hong Kong
Since becoming Golin Hong Kong’s managing director in 2022 at just 35, Carol Yeung has turned the office into a powerhouse to deliver both business results and a culture that people genuinely love.
Yeung’s career reads like a masterclass in PR versatility. She started at Fleishman-Hillard in 2009, jumped to Edelman and handled clients like Ikea, Samsung, Tesla and MGM, worked on multiple award-winning campaigns along the way—think Ikea’s Sleeptober or The Park Lane Hong Kong’s Where Heritage Meets Innovation. A stint in a branding agency across the Middle East, China, Australia and Hong Kong sharpened her acumen before she joined Golin in 2019 and was crowned as a Campaign Woman to Watch in 2021.
Fast forward to 2025, and Yeung’s impact is crystal clear. Under her leadership, Golin Hong Kong posted an impressive double-digit year-on-year revenue spike in H1, and scored a 100% new business win rate in 2024, including Futu, VistaJet, The Park Lane Hong Kong and a large FMCG client. Existing clients have thrived too: Tai Kwun is now on Golin’s retainer, Lenovo has expanded from local to APAC, and satisfaction scores soared from 8.0 in 2023 to 8.8 in 2025, with nearly 70% of clients now promoters.
Yeung is a people-first leader. In their December 2024 People Pulse survey, 100% of her team expressed pride in working at Golin Hong Kong and turnover halved. She has embedded her Golin ‘CREW’ framework of ‘Collaboration, Relationships, Existing clients, Work smart’ to ensure the office is both strategic and human, and draws from AI tools for smarter work.
Outside business, Yeung is shaping culture and inclusion. From workshops at Eldpathy, a social enterprise tackling ageism, to Project Futurus experiences that help seniors, to sponsoring Hong Kongers at the Taiwan Pride Parade, she takes joy in creating moments that matter. She also mentors young talent through Young PR Lions, Hong Kong Baptist University, and City University, and has launched the Cantonese podcast ‘Lessons from the Next Table’ to share learnings from work and life in PR.
As Darren Burns, president of Golin Asia-Pacific, puts it: “Carol is a beacon of hope, resilience, and growth.” And for everyone at Golin Hong Kong, it seems she is that—and more.
